Rockburn Pinot Noir 2019

Intensely fruited with black cherry notes dominating the initial flavours before beautifully balanced toasy, smoky oak notes make their presence known. Silky tanins provide the backbone for the flavours to hang from while ripe acidity in the long finish adds juiciness. A touch of liquorice in the long finish enhances the richness and complexity. This is a wonderfully well crafted Central Otago Pinot Noir, the winemaker has let the fruit shine while adding complexity with delicately judged use of oak. A delicious wine that delivers on all fronts - flavours that open up and evolve in the glass, texture and simple drinkability.
