Blackenbrook Nelson Gewurztraminer 2026

  • Neil Hodgson

A satisfyingly weighty palate carries beautiful floral characters. Almost dry in style the natural fruit flavours are able to shine without being influenced by residual sugars. The flavours flow from aromatic characters to warm spices and even a touch of liquorice in the delightfully long, evolving palate.

Drinking beautifully now but put a few bottles away for five years (if you can keep your hands off it) and see it develop further in the bottle. Enjoy it with a nice fresh Thai style salad, maybe a duck salad, where the juicy acidity will cut through the natural richness of the duck.

This is another wine where Blackenbrook have allowed the purity of gewurztraminer flavours to reach the glass.
