Esk Valley Hawke’s ay Syrah 2013

From the outstanding 2013 vintage in Hawke's Bay this complex wine is jam packed full of ripe berry fruit and dark plum flavours with a twist of vanilla. The complexity comes courtesy of juicy acidity that adds freshness to the silky tannin structure while the soft black pepper aromas are carried through to the palate. Beautiful drinking now, especially if you decant it or drink it the day after it has been opened but will also reward your patience if you leave it for four to five years in the cellar.
