Saint Clair Family Estate ‘Dawn’ Vintage 2012
This Methode Traditionnelle sparkling wine is a new wine for Saint Clair and what a fantastic first effort. Named after Neal Ibbotson’s 101-year-old mother it is “a tribute to her positivity, generosity, dedication to the community, uncompromising values and desire to be her best”. The flavours of this wine are as complex as someone who has lived to be 100, rich in character yet fresh and zesty on the palate, lemon citrus and apple notes dominate the initial flavours before they give way to complex biscuit characters. This is a delightfully fresh wine and a perfect way to celebrate a grand lady.
