Thornbury Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Taste & Other Notes

Medium palate weight carries intense passionfruit flavours with a nice squeeze of citrus zest acidity. Finishes long and the ripe acidity makes the wine juicy rather than crisp. A delightful expression of ripe Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that is outstanding value for money.

Thornbury Wines is a producer owned by Villa Maria and seeks to produce a prime example of varieties suited to each region, in this case Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. “Celebrating NZ’s Great Wine Regions”

The labels carry a very cool sticker that highlights the main flavours in the bottle making it easy for consumers to understand what they are buying. The example below is from a bottle of Thornbury Pinot Noir made from fruit grown in Central Otago.
