Tohu Whenua Matua Vineyard Albarino 2018

Taste & Other Notes

This is one of the selection of single vineyard wines from Kono, under the Tohu brand. Made from fruit grown on the Kuiti block in the Whenua Matua Vineyard in the rolling Upper Moutere Hills clay soils.

A bright, elegant wine packed with flavour withing a slightly oily, saline texture in the mouth. Textured flavours of pear and nectarine lead to firm and juicy lemon flavours in the long finish. A nice citrus pith character in the finish adds complexity. a beautiful wine where the fruit shines and the very long, juicy finish is refreshing and makes you want more. Perfect with seafood, maybe even fish and chips at the beach.
