Neudorf Vineyards Moutere Chardonnay 2000

Taste & Other Notes

Who says New Zealand Chardonnay doesn’t age well? This wines proves if it is made well and cellared properly it can age magnificently. The flavours are packed with layers of rich cooked stonefruit, toasted nuts, grapefruit marmalade and nougat characters with a lingering juicy finish. While the wine is past its youthful best it is still drinking beautifully. I have tried the Neudorf Vineyards classic a number of times over the years and will dig out my original tasting notes and add them to this review in due course. We enjoyed this with crayfish on Christmas Day
