Sacred Hill 'Wine Thief' Chardonnay 2014
Richly textured with cooked yellow peach and vanilla custard characters. Finely balanced oak enhance the creamy texture. The long, lingering finish has crisp grapefruit and mandarin citrus characters with lashings of oak spice. A beautifully made, clean, enticing wine.
Excerpts from the winery release notes:
"The much anticipated release of the 2014 Sacred HIll Wine THief Chardonnay, alongside the iconic Riflemans Chardonnay and the unoaked 2014 Virgin Chardonnay, heralads the completion of the Sacred Hill Chardonnay Collection."
"The 2014 Wine Thief takes its place in the Chardonnay Collection, having last being released in 2010, and intial reviews show it to be a welcome return. Layered with citrus, valilla and stonefruit flavours, Bish (winemaker Tony Bish) describes this wine as richer and toastier than the more refined Riflemans Chardonnay."
